Dear Vikings,
It has been an incredible, interesting, and all around wacky journey
to the end of the school year and we are so proud of you! You all have
worked so hard and made great progress and choices this year! We
have so many positive and awesome memories with you!
As you go into your summer, remember to take care of yourself and
be the best version of you! One of our favorite songs reminds us of the
following:
Hold the door, say please say thank you
I know you have mountains to climb but
Always stay humble and kind
When the dreams you’re dreaming come to you
When the work you put in is realized
Let yourself feel the pride but
Always stay humble and kind
For those students returning to us next year, we look forward to seeing
you in person (we hope!) and will keep you posted on what the new year will
look like. For those moving onto other schools or high school, we can’t wait
to hear about your successes and how you make the world a better place!
We love you! We are proud of you!
Mrs. Cherry, Ms. Lucero, and Mrs. Bates
Right now, there are no official and concrete answers about next school year, however, nothing has been decided just yet. Once we know what's been decided and voted on, I will send it out, even if it's over the summer!
What we DO know (as of right now) is that we will (most likely) have a blended educational program, which means that Vikings will spend part of their week in the classroom with our teachers and part of the week in distance learning. We are working with our unions and District committees to get more details.
We know that you received an email from FSUSD Superintendent regarding K-8 virtual school which was approved by the FSUSD Governing Board. If you are interested in registering your child for FSUSD K-8 Virtual School, please complete the registration form at https://bit.ly/2U1DIAN.
If you decide to register for Virtual Learning for the 20-21 school year, you will be dropped from GVMS for the entire school year. You can then re-register to attend GVMS the following (21-22) year if you do not want to continue Virtual Learning.
Distance Learning Opportunities for K-8 Students June 29-August 7- sign up now!

Students may sign up for one or more courses based on their interests and time availability. Please refer to the 2020 Summer Short-Courses Brochure for more details, including dates and times.

Please remember that ALL students KEEP their FSUSD Chrome book UNLESS you are moving out of district or state, you are in 8th grade and going to a high school other than Armijo High, Fairfield High, Rodriguez High, PSA, or Early College that are in Fairfield-Suisun. If you are coming back to Green Valley for 20-21, KEEP your chrome book for the summer!
Need to get your chrome book fixed? During the summer TSS will continue the device drop off and pickup of staff and student devices with a modified schedule. The new schedule below will start on June 15, 2020.
Tuesday 9 AM - 11 AM Armijo High School
Wednesday 9 AM - 11 AM Rodriguez High School
Thursday 9AM - 11 AM Fairfield High School

They MUST have proof of receiving two Varicella immunizations as well!
