I am SURE you have heard of Instagram, have an Instagram account, or your Viking has an Instagram account. Did you know that 1 out of every 3 teens have Instagram? While it can be an awesome way to connect with friends and family, there are some things that parents MUST be aware of!!
- Empower your students to be aware of online threats
- Be sure to monitor your student's activity on Instagram
- Make your student the expert and have them "teach" you

Any parent/guardian/family member wonder why your sweet middle school student has turned into someone you may not always recognize? There are real and scientific reasons, so don't panic and there is good news. As you already know, our students are completing the MAP testing in English and Math. While we may have had a few technical difficulties, we are plugging away at it!
MAP is a computer adaptive test and shows a student's growth over time (which is why our students take it three times a year!) and it is indicative of how they will perform on the CAASPP test at the end of April.
Teachers will each get reports on every single student as to how they are progressing!
